Slots Review: Captain Jackpot, Double Bonus Line and Sphinx Magic.

7 February 2005

1) Captain Jackpot: Bally.

2 spins. 90-94%

This slot introduces another slot superhero, Captain Jackpot, he of the muscular physique and toothy grin. The basic game is a 15-line video slot with bets ranging from 15-450 at 30 per line. The bonus round includes 10 free spins.

A free spin round can be followed with more if the Super Power symbol appears on an active payline while betting max coins.

Along with the bonus symbols, comes a multiplier number that applies to all free spins in the round.

Play max coins here and your rewards are again and again and again.

2) Double Bonus Line: Bally.

7 spins. 92%.

For those player who love to watch reels spinning, this five coin/five line game with standard bar and 7 symbols and a Wild Bar symbol is for you.
As you buy-your-pay, the first coin activates the center payline and each succeeding coin another payline. Max coin in play will set you up for the big strike of 1000 coins or 2000 coins in Double Mode where all jackpots are doubled.

When six winning combos land on any payline, get set for Double Mode where either that jackpot or the next hit on that payline pays double the normal jackpot. As this six hit combo is reached, it is possible to have more than one payline in Double Mode.

Yippee-it's Double Up time and twice the fun at this slot.

3) Sphinx Magic: Atronic.

The original Sphinx offered a multi-level, second-screen bonus event sending players onward if they made the right choice in the bonus round.
With this slant top version standing at 7 ½ ft. tall, there is a top box bonus and flip cards at eye level with two progressive meters. Flip cards are small playing cards on spindles that spin and snap into place.

Players can select bets of OneWay or TwoWay. OneWay is standard play with jackpots counting left to right only playing for the smaller progressive jackpot resetting to $50,000. TwoWay betting activates right to left jackpots as well thus increasing hit frequency and scatter wins while playing for two progressive jackpots where Magic Jackpot resets at $100,000.

Once the correct choice is made among the chambers in the Pharaoh's tomb during the bonus event, you are then lead to the Magic Bonus triggering the top box bonus.

Each of the flip-card chambers has arrows above and below. When the bonus is activated, the cards spin to present five different bonus amounts.
The arrows flash around the five numbers until landing on a bonus and continue
until Collect or Collect X2 signals end the round.

This game is magical fun with several options courtesy of the friendly sphinx.

Gayle Mitchell, one of the first women to break through the “felt ceiling” of the previously male-dominated world of casino gambling gurus, is now regarded as one of North America’s leading experts on casino gambling.

Gayle’s commitment to educating the gambling public began almost 20 years ago, when she walked into a Las Vegas casino and experienced for the first time the thrill that comes with winning even a small bet. She made up her mind then and there to learn every game in the casino, and a short time later resolved to make a career out of sharing her insights with other gamblers. She had always considered herself to be a good teacher – she believes in keeping things simple – and decided that she would commit herself to showing newbies how to become knowledgeable, intelligent gamblers.

Gayle started her own publishing company, and her first book came out in 1997. Today she is the author of seven books, seven EBooks, and a set of five Tips booklets, and has presented many seminars on casino gambling. Currently she teaches Learn to Win Programs with other leading experts at GamblingTeachers.com. The site is a player-friendly Free Gambling Learning Center offering 300+ online lessons for popular casino games plus Gambling Teachers Blog. Gayle also operates www.gamerisms.com, which is a games glossary site for sport, casino, skill and video game players.

“It’s a fact that less than 2 percent of casino players know the profitable, correct strategies and/or rules for most casino games,” Gayle says. “Our group of career teachers and writers are working to improve that statistic.”
