Gayle Mitchell

Gayle Mitchell, one of the first women to break through the “felt ceiling” of the previously male-dominated world of casino gambling gurus, is now regarded as one of North America’s leading experts on casino gambling.

Gayle’s commitment to educating the gambling public began almost 20 years ago, when she walked into a Las Vegas casino and experienced for the first time the thrill that comes with winning even a small bet. She made up her mind then and there to learn every game in the casino, and a short time later resolved to make a career out of sharing her insights with other gamblers. She had always considered herself to be a good teacher – she believes in keeping things simple – and decided that she would commit herself to showing newbies how to become knowledgeable, intelligent gamblers.

Gayle started her own publishing company, and her first book came out in 1997. Today she is the author of seven books, seven EBooks, and a set of five Tips booklets, and has presented many seminars on casino gambling. Currently she teaches Learn to Win Programs with other leading experts at GamblingTeachers.com. The site is a player-friendly Free Gambling Learning Center offering 300+ online lessons for popular casino games plus Gambling Teachers Blog. Gayle also operates www.gamerisms.com, which is a games glossary site for sport, casino, skill and video game players.

“It’s a fact that less than 2 percent of casino players know the profitable, correct strategies and/or rules for most casino games,” Gayle says. “Our group of career teachers and writers are working to improve that statistic.”

21 January 2002

We continue to explore progressive slots available at your favorite casino. Below find a list of an additional 10 slots to bring the total to 20 progressive versions.

11) I Dream of Jeannie progressives are found 'all about Atlantic City' and elsewhere with a jackpot reset of $100,000 and the winner is paid immediately.

12) Blondie Series from Bally's is now widely available at a progressive jackpot reset value of $25,000. Part of the Thrillions series, it provides an on-the-spot payout.

Three Versions are: A) Blondie's Big Spender: A five-coin game with various bar combinations similar to the Bally's Roaring 20's slots, plus two 7 combinations. Three 7's scattered pays 150 coins and three 7's on the payline nets 4,000 coins. The "Blondie" symbol pays 1,000 coins, and three "Blondie" symbols wins the progressive. B) Dagwood's Big Dough: Similar to "Blondie's Big Spender" with a lower hit frequency on the re-spin bonus of 20 to 200 coins. When Dagwood sees a chef flipping pizza dough, you are headed for the bonus round. C) Blondie's Meal Ticket: This two or three coin version features the famous "Dagwood Sandwich" as the bonus symbol with one, two or three sandwiches on the payline returns a random bonus. One sandwich=three to thirty coins with max. bet, two sandwiches=six to ninety coins, and three=fifteen to three hundred coins. You are reminded of Bally's Blazing 7s with four separate 7 combinations in the pay schedule.

Blondie and Dagwood symbols substitute for all other paytable symbols as Bally's introduces these familiar and well-loved comic strip characters as part of their "Thrillions" slot line. Bally has been placing its Blondie Series of progressives in Mississippi and around the country. They promise that the $25,000 jackpot will reset frequently.

17) Easy Riches: Triple progressive linked slot with progressive meter bonus in a multi-line video. Features a 15-line, 45-coin configuration allowing players to qualify for three progressive meters in increments of 15 coins. Players can bet from one to 10 coins and 90 total coins=$4.50 for a max. bet gives you a chance for a million bucks. Secondary bonus is achieved when 3 scattered "Mystery 7s" appear on the primary reels of the pay window at which time, you select a bonus amount. The main bonus is triggered when "Winner's Circle" symbols appear on reels one, three and five. On-screen are 54 boxes with either coin values or pyramids hidden behind each box--choose the correct 7 boxes (with max. bet) and the million is yours.

20) The latest MegaJackpot game is Regis' Cash Club and is creating quite a stir on the casino floor. The machines are linked in several states and the top progressive award, which will not be less than $1million, will be paid in full upon a valid win. The 9-line, 45-coin nickel game includes spinning reels and two bonus rounds--Column of Cash and The Big Check. The MegaJackpot progressive is won when five Regis symbols land on the ninth line with a max. coin bet.

Have fun with these and may all your progressive wins be progressively profitable.
